We would like to thank everyone that has paid for their use of our plugins. Unfortunately we can no longer sustain our plugin development from the payments we have received.

In Dec 2012 we were contracted to help with the development of X-Particles. This quickly swamped our development schedule and made it increasingly harder to find time for our own plugin development.

When X-Particles 2.0 was released in May 2013 it quickly became a popular plugin and it was clear this was going to grow rapidly. In July 2013 we joined with X-Particles to form a company INSYDIUM LTD to simplify and speed up development of X-Particles.

In Nov 2013 X-Particles 2.5 was released, another leap in particle effects for CINEMA 4D.

Back in 2012, pShade and pCache were written for Thinking Particles to bring improved caching and rendering. With the release of X-Particles 2.5 these plugins are now redundant. pShade and pCache both used the Hair render engine of CINEMA 4D, for particle rendering X-Particles is now faster and the way forward.

We do not want to simply drop our plugins, so from 2014 we are offering them as free to use downloads. However, we will only continue support for existing customers. We will make one final update to our plugins early 2014 to fix known problems (including some CINEMA 4D R15 issues).

Coming very soon to the customers area, a new plugin for Thinking Particles, Standard Particles and X-Particles.

Cache, generate (splines, geometry and hair sprites/curves), render and shade any particles, output to any particles (cache from TP, output to XP etc.), from memory or buffered from files (with relative paths and compression) with reduced sampling and subframe sampling. Viewport displays of the particles and paths (live, all, traces and trails).

rBoole Update 0.42a11.11.2012

Please find the latest version available in the customers area. This version contains a new feature to enable rBoole to work as a UV shader. So what does that mean?

Take a look at this video created by Lothar Mai using the latest rBoole with the excellent X-Particles.

The new UV Sampling option enables rBoole to work purely from a UV coordinate and completely outside of the CINEMA renderer. rBoole can now be sampled from any shader link so it can work with x-particles, hair etc.

rBoole URGENT Update 0.34a8.11.2012

Due to a potentially nasty bug that could prevent Net Render and the Picture Viewer from working correctly this release has been made available to everyone.

This release brings with it the new UI and bevel options from 0.30a, the latest experimental options from 0.32a, a new rBoole VP option to automatically use rBoole rendering for the C4D Boolean object and also partial VRAY support.


rBoole VRAYforC4D Support8.11.2012

rBoole has had a considerable amount of interest from CINEMA 4D VRAY users. Until now only the shader would work with the VRAY renderer in CINEMA.

Thanks to the guys at VRAYforC4D the next update of rBoole will support VRAYforC4D. This will enable VRAYforC4D users to use the rBoole object and tag making rBoole much easier for VRAY users.


rBoole Update 0.32a4.11.2012

A minor update to the latest rBoole is available in the customers area. This version contains some new experimental Advanced options:

  • Precalc Intersections, can speed up the boolean and improvements to the Inside Count (speed up).
  • Reverse Check, extends the inside/outside test to include looking backwards (can further help with some models that aren't fully closed).
  • Opaque when Shadowing, prevents the boolean affecting the shadows so lighting within models remains the same.

rBoole Examples Updated2.11.2012

The Plugins page has now been updated to bring the examples to v0.24a and some new scenes have been added.


rBoole Update 0.30a1.11.2012

The latest version of rBoole is now available in the customers area (v0.30a). As usual the previous release (v0.24a) is now available in the main downloads section along with its PDF.

The latest version (v0.30a) includes the bevel shown previously along with additional improvements, UI update and bug fixes.

rBoole Sneak Peek 25.10.2012

We have a number of improvements in the works for rBoole so we just wanted to share the latest jump which is in testing and will become available to customers soon (and everyone else a little later).

As rBoole is done at render time you are left with those hard cut edges around the boolean and few options to help. This could limit the uses of rBoole so we decided to solve it, render time beveling.

As this is a shader "trick" (like bump mapping) if you push it too far (wide bevel or camera too close) you can see it is just a shader effect but it does give a simple way to soften the boolean edges.

rBoole Update 0.24a 22.10.2012

A new update for the render boolean plugin is available in the customers area along with updated documentation.

The previous update (0.20a) is now available on the main downloads page along with some documentation.

The latest update (0.24a) is faster with some more bug fixes and greatly improved workflow.

rBoole can now auto setup at render time, so you no longer need to add the shader and enable the alpha channel. The rBoole tag also has an Auto option which automatically finds intersecting objects.

This works with any object, e.g. you can send out particle objects and they will automatically boolean any objects they intersect.


rBoole Update 0.20a 20.10.2012

A new update for the render boolean plugin is available in the customers area. The previous update (0.18a) is now available on the main downloads page.

The latest update (0.20a) contains a couple of fixes, a new option to help with poor meshes (that could cause artifacts) and renders faster.

Site Up 16.10.2012

Our site is finally up, our first plugin is ready for downloading (alpha version for now, R13/14).

Documentation and additional improvements are already in progress, further information on this will appear in this news feed.

We also have two more plugins coming, one is already in beta testing and will be released shortly.
